Primary Students Visit Murray State's Fall on the Farm

Abby Lonsway, Abbi Duncan and Makenzie Phelps play in the corn pit at Murray State University’s Fall on the Farm. Farmington primary students recently visited the college to participate in the annual event. Activities also included a petting zoo, pony rides, corn maze, rubber duck races, pumpkin slingshot, giant slide, pumpkin painting and face painting. Areas were also prepared where students tested their driving skills on a pedal tractor course, milked cows and made butter. The field trip provided a fun, yet educational avenue for the students to participate in traditional autumn activities typical in rural settings, while also learning how agriculture relates to other aspects of the community and daily life.
